Speaking in Food

My oldest nephew is quite funny. And I don't mean just in looks (chill kid, it's a joke). But he has developed a unique sense of hearing. He hears things in food-talk. This hasn't just happened. It's been going on for a while.

I'm sure there are more entries, but for now I will have to tell you about the ones I can remember most vividly. Here goes:

1. The Nacho Man Randy Sandwich - translation The Macho Man Randy Savage
This started when he was real young. My younger brother was very into wrestling. And by "very" I mean obsessed. So naturally, little Sky was quite taken by it as well. He was probably about 6 when this name came to be.

2. Sky was telling me how he wanted a dog. And he knew what kind he wanted, too. It was one of those little hunting dogs. You know, a bagel? It took me a minute. You mean, a beagle? Yah! That's it! So I came back with, what - are you going to name it Cream Cheese?

3. A treadmill. You would think that only difficult part of this word would be tread sounding like tred. Hmmm. Apparently mill is pronounced meal in Sky's world. So it is known by him as the tread-meal. Which ... kind of makes sense doesn't it?

4. Everyone knows that song by Warrant. It's rather graphic in some of its description ... if you know what's going on. However, again Sky hears .... "I LIKE CHERRY PIE!"

So there is my list of vocab words for the moment. I'll update as they arise.
